Chilean rap, cumbia rebajada, and unsigned MCs.
RRCE began in 2012 as RadioRapChile, a Chilean hip-hop outlet built by people already inside the scene rather than covering it from outside. The rename kept the initials and widened the remit, but the founding purpose never moved: give national rap somewhere to be played, reviewed and argued about. Among the voices is Droga2ke Mckario CrazyDoog, a veteran rapper and one of the original presenters, who was doing an open-signal show at Radio La Florida in Los Quillayes long before this one existed.
The rotation runs around the clock and refuses to stay in one lane: Chilean underground rap sitting next to New York boom bap and Atlanta trap, a classic cumbia slowed to a crawl, and Jamaican dancehall. Live shows anchor the week — DJ Atem's Spin That Shit twice a week for emerging MCs and record reviews, Cabro Espezifiko's Punto de Encuentro stretching across a whole night.
