Deep and minimal house from a Williamsburg booth.
Mad Radio opened its New York room in late 2025 at 395 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, the raw garage under the bridge where TBA had run for more than a decade, with Mixmag's New York office inside, until it closed earlier that year. Leo Herrera had started the project in Medellín in 2017. A club, a radio booth, an art gallery and a record store share the one space, and it changes shape through the day: a photography set or a listening session in daylight, vinyl sessions and performances once it gets dark.
The opening weeks put beewack, Benny Soto and Mike Nervous in the booth, and on club nights, Wednesday to Saturday as a rule, whatever is played there goes out live on the stream and on YouTube. In between, the frequency keeps to deep and minimal house, the unhurried, long-record end of the form, closer to what a bar plays at eleven than a club at three.
85 people, one record at a time.
