Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Deep and minimal house from a Williamsburg booth.
Mad Radio opened its New York room in December 2025 at 395 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg — 85 capacity, with a club, a radio booth, an art gallery and a record store folded into a single space, open Wednesday through Saturday. It is the latest room Leo Herrera has built since starting the project in Medellin in 2017, after Barcelona, Bogota and the Miami motel room. The room is deliberately unfixed: a photography set or a listening session by day, vinyl sessions and performances once it gets dark.
Guests have taken the booth steadily since the room opened, and the booth sits in the middle of the floor rather than raised above it — the group's stated preference for a selector who is part of the room instead of facing it down. The frequency runs deep and minimal house, the unhurried, long-record end of the form, closer to what a bar plays at eleven than a club at three.
85 people, one record at a time.
