Classic rock meets new indie, electronica and world grooves.
Radio Paradise began in February 2000, when Bill Goldsmith, who had worked in radio since leaving high school in 1971, and his wife Rebecca started streaming from their home in Paradise, California, the town that gave the station its name. They moved it to the Borrego Valley in 2016, two years before the Camp Fire largely destroyed Paradise, and it later settled in Eureka. Rebecca retired in 2022 and Bill's daughter Alanna took on her role. It has always been listener-supported and free of commercials.
The Main Mix is the flagship channel, a hand-picked flow that moves between rock, indie, electronica, folk, soul, jazz and music from around the world, each song chosen to lead into the next. A single week can run past a thousand different artists, old favourites sitting beside new names, and there are no presenters, only the odd announcement between tracks. Six sister channels split off narrower moods.
Radio for people who hate shuffle.
