Espeeera...
Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Classical, jazz, and the news, all in Luxembourgish.
Radio 100,7 has been on air since 1993, and for most of that time its remit was narrow by design: a socio-cultural station filling a niche the commercial market ignored. A law passed in 2022 widened it, making the station a generalist public broadcaster charged with addressing everyone in Luxembourg — national and European politics, social and economic questions, culture, sport, and the regions. It is run by an independent public body, its board six independent members and three state appointees.
Lauschter Letzebuerg, the station calls it: listen to Luxembourg. In practice that means giving the country's many voices somewhere to speak, in their own words, and asking the uncomfortable questions as well. The music leans on indie, soul, jazz and electronic records alongside Luxembourg's own artists, and a sister channel, opus 100,7, carries classical around the clock.
