Espeeera...
Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Jungle, boom bap and field recordings, side by side.
Norrm went on air in Bandung in June 2017, opening with two mix series named for printing terms — Grotesk and Offset — and a Swiss graphic design studio among its first guests. It has numbered every broadcast since, past eleven hundred of them now, and it works out of two rooms: a record shop on Jalan Cihapit, and the Radiobar in the Segitiga Emas shophouses at Kosambi, where the live sessions are cut in front of whoever happens to be drinking in the shophouse that evening.
House, techno and disco make the biggest cluster, and the tail runs long: jazz, reggae, r&b, UK garage, balearic, and Indonesian traditional music. Orbital Friction, POP iN, Perfect Days, Sweet Spot and Malaria carry the weeks, while the Radiobar Regulars put local crews on air in pairs and threes. Talk and poetry sit in the same schedule as the rave hours.
One room, every frequency.
