Old school soul and boogie, run like a social club.
Keith Stewart started BreezerSoul Radio in 2017 because he wanted a station that played nothing but soul, with no ads, no news and no sport getting in the way. The people around him are friends from the same scene. Johnnie Blair was the resident DJ at Weymouth's soul club, the Malibu, before moving to Greece in 1995, and joined after meeting Stewart in Corfu, while Sid Reed was a listener in the United States who started filling in with shows of his own. The station also takes its listeners out, with soul cruises, all-dayers and a week in Corfu.
Most of the day is an unbroken run of soul and R&B, old school next to neo soul and boogie, with one hour every afternoon given over to sixties soul and a couple of evenings a week to disco. The live shows come in the evening. Johnnie Blair has Friday night and Trevor Hardiman has Tuesday. Everything is chosen by presenters who, as the station puts it, live and breathe soul music.
