Jazz Funk Soul Radio has broadcast around the clock since 2010, and what began as a small British operation grew into a roster of presenters scattered across the UK, the United States and Europe. The pitch its listeners make for it is consistent: DJs who know the catalogue deeply, and who spend as much airtime on new writers and independent artists as they do on the anthems. It recruits presenters in the open, and it is run by people doing it for love of the music rather than for a living.

The grid is two-hour shows, one DJ to each, and the styles are named per show rather than left vague: DJ Hughie's Mixed Bag runs boogie, gospel, jazz, Latin and salsa; Paul Hobson takes Soul Explosion; David Patterson's Cosmic Echoes and Carl Christopher's For The Love Of Music fill their own slots. The UK Soul Chart anchors the Tuesday morning schedule.
