De naald wordt afgestoft…
Rock, funk and Latin alternative, sorted by ear.
Founded in 2020, Radio Bizarro set out to amplify the music, voices and ideas that live outside the industry's usual margins, and it has stayed small doing exactly that. Chris Calderón runs it with Gaby San and Niko Torres, three people who treat human curation as the whole point rather than a nicety, and the live show goes out on weekday evenings, online and on 89.3 FM. Off air it throws parties and concerts with Mishu Music, which is where the scene it broadcasts to actually gathers.
The selection refuses to pick a lane: Minneapolis funk into Afro-Cuban groove, retro soul-funk into Argentine rock en español, trip hop and late-night electronic soul sharing an hour with jazz-bass fusion and arena rock. Dominican and Latin American songwriters sit level with whatever arrived from elsewhere that week, and a record gets played here for being good rather than for fitting a format.
Taste over traffic, every time.
