Eeeven...
De naald wordt afgestoft…
Brit indie, alt-rock anthems and trip-hop after dark.
Dark Edge has come out of Bucharest since 2018, built on one premise: soft alternative and indie with the melancholy left in. It has never run shows or scheduled hours. The rotation is sequenced by feel rather than by era or scene, which is how a Smiths single ends up beside BEA1991, and Bob Dylan beside Holly Humberstone, without either sounding misplaced. Eight years in, the premise has not moved — the same narrow band of mood, widened only by whatever else happens to fit inside it.
What plays is mostly indie pop and dream pop, slowed toward downtempo and neo-soul at the edges, with alternative rock — Nirvana, Everything Everything, The Regrettes — at the harder end of the same mood. Obscurities get equal footing with the canon, Panda Bear and Peli Gene in the same hour as songs everyone knows. A station ident between tracks is the only voice.
Anonymous, and better for it.
