Montreal rap radio where French and English trade bars.
Le Rapologue has been online since at least 2015, when it called itself an original hip hop web radio playing urban music from the four corners of the world. It is independent and comes out of Greater Montreal. For a few years it ran as a small family of channels, with one called KAFE and an old-school one called À L'Ancienne beside the main rotation, and it has since gone back to a single station. What it says it is for has stayed the same, which is getting artists from Montreal and the rest of Quebec heard next to the names everyone already knows.
The main rotation is rap with R&B and neo soul folded in, and French-language records from Quebec and France share it with American ones. Themed blocks sit on a weekly grid, where Rap Québ has Monday evenings, Rap Nostalgie goes back to the nineties, Friday nights give two hours to women only and reggae gets an hour midweek. Le Salon Orange, presented by Hans, has rounded up new releases since at least 2021.
For the walk home after a bad day.
