Live mixes from a worldwide DJ roster, jungle to techstep.
DNBRADIO went on air in 2003 out of Denver and is one of the oldest drum and bass stations still running, started by Mike Shoebox and kept on by a volunteer crew handling engineering, A&R, moderation and the calendar. In 2022 it took the unusual step of registering as a 501(c)(3), which means the books are open: listener donations cover a monthly cost basis of roughly $271, most of it SoundExchange royalties and servers. Nothing is sold on air, and none of the DJs are paid a penny.
Shows are archived as podcasts the moment they come off air — Universal Drumz, The RedEye, Disorderly Conduct, Tales from the Darkside, In Tha Cut, and dozens more. Four sibling channels sit beside the main feed: Plush Recordings for the deep end, Section 8 for the dark one, a Darkstep channel of techstep and neurofunk, and a relay carrying JungleTrain.net.
