Neon city pop and Shōwa kayō, narrated in Portuguese.
Tokyo Groove FM is an independent internet station built around Japanese music, set up by DJ Thomas and online since at least October 2025. Its first site promised a dive into seventies-to-nineties Japan, and the team has since grown into a crew of fans, among them a tokusatsu columnist who has lectured at anime conventions and a podcast trio who talk Japanese culture live on YouTube. Daytime belongs to Tokyo Spin, the station's mascot, a virtual DJ whose voice and selections are made with AI.
City pop is the backbone, with Shōwa-era kayōkyoku and J-pop around it, old and new. Evenings go to human presenters with their own angles. Nippon Disco Nights digs into seventies Japanese disco and Anisatsu Nostalgia plays anime and tokusatsu themes with their backstories. Noite em Tokyo builds each episode around one theme, a single artist or a countdown, and every story told on air is checked against a source.
