R&B and classic hip hop from the MSN years onward.
NPO Blend went on air on 9 November 2023 as a pilot from the Dutch public broadcaster, built for listeners raised on NPO FunX who wanted a more mature sound. It began as music with no presenters at all. Hosted programmes arrived in February 2024, made by several of the public broadcasting associations, and that autumn NPO asked the culture minister for permission to keep the station for good, with the Council for Culture advising in favour. It goes out on DAB+ and online and has no FM frequency.
The music is R&B, soul and hip hop, with the nineties and two-thousands at the centre and new releases beside them. Weekdays open with The Morning Show from Q-Bah and Jasmine Sendar, then Jaimy's Jamz runs to lunch and Bridge The Gap with Howard Komproe and One'sy Muller closes most afternoons. Between records there is talk about what is happening in the community, and evenings and weekends run without presenters.
