House, tech house, and melodic cuts, DJ-picked.
Radio ABF — Alternative Bass Fréquence — began as Loïc Mounier's project in 1999, when the plan was an associative FM licence and the reality was 30-minute homemade shows of funk, reggae, hip-hop and techno that early internet users downloaded off a website. It went live as a webradio in 2000 and ran until 2008, and the revival since has grown into a small network: a second channel, ABF 2, launched in September 2026. It takes no advertising, running instead on listener donations that cover the servers and the music rights.
The rotation sits in house and its neighbours, tech, deep and melodic rather than hard, the kind of polished, rolling records that hold a floor without bullying it. Some fifty DJs fill the schedule, residents and guests alike, based anywhere from France and Spain to Japan, Argentina and Australia, and ABF Club puts exclusive guest mixes out every week.
Fifty-one DJs, no ad breaks.
