Die Nadel wird entstaubt…
Deep progressive house, melodic and very patient.
For its first three years Hirschmilch kept a channel aside for live broadcasts from parties, then for recorded sets and mixes, and in 2012 it retired that and put progressive house into the slot instead. The station itself has run free and non-commercial from Hamburg since the last day of 2008, when Michael Reese started it with two channels and very little else. This one got its own DJ battle in 2016, and since 2024 tom beltor has brought an exclusive set every second week as the Tribuanic Session.
The register is deep progressive house rather than the festival kind, built on producers who treat twelve minutes as a reasonable length and a breakdown as something to earn. Melodic techno edges in at the harder end and the Colombian and Israeli scenes are both well covered. tom beltor also curates a weekly rundown of what is worth hearing, which is the closest thing the station has to a review column.
Slow burn is the whole point.
