The 80s deep cuts a Swiss dancefloor never forgot.
Peter and Astrid Greub have been throwing the 80s Forever party out of Bergdietikon, in Aargau, since 2007 — pop, new wave, new romantic and Neue Deutsche Welle, every track played with its original video on the screen behind the floor. Peter DJs it as Pete G alongside DZ and P@man, and the three of them built the night on the records the other 80s parties leave in the crate. In October 2011 they put the same idea on a stream, commercial-free and running all day, and that is where the station came from.
The library runs from 1978 to 1991 and the rule is that the famous ones stay out, so what comes up is Magazine, Bang-Bang, an ABC single, a Men At Work album track nobody released. New wave, synthpop, power pop, post-punk and alt-rock, ordered by nothing that resembles a chart, and a request form sits there for whatever the rotation has been missing.
Side two, every time.
