De naald wordt afgestoft…
Deep, house and techno, with room for the noise.
Rádio Breca has been running from Vila Real since 2013, up in the Trás-os-Montes hills rather than either of the cities you would expect a Portuguese electronic station to come out of. More than three hundred artists have made shows for it — DJs, producers, label people, collectors — and the whole thing goes out around the clock from its own server, live when somebody is there and pre-recorded when they are not. Its stated job is to give emerging and established names the same room.
The brief is deep, house and techno, and it holds to it, with soundtracks, noise, ambient and experimental work either side. Three syndicated label shows anchor the week from the wider circuit, Stereo Radio Show, the CLR Podcast and Tronic Music Radio, each on its own weekly night, all three from the techno and tech-house end. The rest is the contributors' own.
Twelve years, no gatekeeping.
