Crooners and quiet songwriters, never above a murmur.
Pluche is Dutch for plush, and Pinguin Radio named this stream accordingly when it set it up as its luxe easy-listening channel, one of the sister streams the foundation added around its indie main station for particular moods and listening situations. Pinguin itself has been online since 2011, started by people from the old Kink FM, and Pluche is the gentlest thing it makes, run like the others by a genre specialist, without presenters and without ad breaks, paid for by listener donations and sponsorship.
Vocal jazz and the swing-era crooners share it with today's singer-songwriters and indie-folk voices, acoustic and mostly unhurried, with a strong showing for Dutch songwriters, some gentle Americana and a fair bit of Portuguese and Brazilian song alongside. Newer records get frequent rotation, so the same few fresh voices tend to come back two or three times across a day.
Best with the lights low.
