Indie rock, electro and blues from east Bohemia.
Věroslav Musil, a DJ at Prague's Radio 1, founded it in 2016 and pointed it squarely against what regional Czech radio normally does — its own line is that it plays nothing to death. It started on a single frequency in Ústí nad Orlicí and has since grown to three: 95.5 for the Orlicko district, 92.4 for Rychnov nad Kněžnou and 105.1 for Hradec Králové, all of it run out of a small company on Na Štěpnici in the town. The other slogan is blunter still, and simply claims the best music anywhere in the east.
One late Saturday hour ran British and Australian guitar indie, a psychedelic-rock revival act and a stadium funk-rock staple, with a German electro remix and a street-blues duo in the same stretch; the afternoon had Brooklyn jangle-pop next to a record by a London-based house producer. Shows are archived on Mixcloud and the studio goes out live on Kick as well.
Small-town dial, big-city taste.
