Nu-disco, house and synth-pop with the windows down.
Playloud started in Lille in 2014 as a free, independent and alternative radio project for the Eurometropole of Lille, Tournai and Kortrijk, built to bring listeners together around music and culture on both sides of the border. It was among the first stations in the Hauts-de-France on DAB+, which reached the Lille area in June 2018, and later added Dunkirk and Saint-Omer. A collective of former and current professionals from music production and from commercial and community radio runs it.
Mornings belong to La Tête dans le Cue, live on weekdays with Juliette and Q, and Thomas takes the afternoon drive, while the rest of the clock runs on a low-rotation list of more than a thousand tracks a week, mostly new. Expect house, nu-disco, synth-pop and indie pop with a fair share of chart pop, and on Saturday nights residents Barry & Gibbs play disco on Disconnect.
Grey skies, glitterball radio.
