Spolveriamo la puntina…
Techno and tech house from Namibia's underground.
Fred Schoeman runs this out of Windhoek, and has since at least 2018, on an argument he makes plainly on the station's own about page: Africa has untapped uniqueness to contribute to dance music, its own beat, and nowhere obvious to broadcast it from. He signs himself the Founding Father. The door is left open in the same paragraph — send a mix, send a track you produced yourself, or ask to go live on air, and the address given is his own email rather than a submissions form.
Ace Da Bass, born Shafa Shaimemanya, has worked with Goldfish and Jack Parow and bases himself in Namibia. Pierre Pienaar, Namibian-born, has over fifty singles and as many remixes out on Ministry of Sound, Armada and Vandit, and once ran the Nukleuz Green label. The rotation sits in melodic techno and progressive house: Colyn, Pig&Dan, Alex Stein, Nora En Pure.
Everyone here is also a DJ.
