Espeeera...
Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Garage, stoner, surf, and biker metal all night.
XRaydio began in Plovdiv in 2011 after Zac Kuzmanov and the music promoter Miroslav Simeonov spent an afternoon drinking over the idea, and had the station running days later. Miro died shortly afterwards; it goes on addressing its listeners the way he would have, as bikers, skaters, punks, garage rockers, metal heads and bitter ageing dudes. Kuzmanov calls it a club as much as a station, and it lives on donations from that crowd, who are thanked by name at the foot of every page.
Blues, punk, psychedelia, power pop, pub and space rock hold the middle of it, with swamp, sludge and southern rock at the heavier end and outlaw country where it needs a breather. Early rock and roll and glam anchor the older side. The noisiest of it is scheduled after dark, which is where this channel does its real work, rockabilly and action rock included.
Volume over subtlety.
