Fresh French rap and US heat, with R&B in between.
Mouv' started in Toulouse on 17 June 1997, Radio France's attempt to reach a younger audience than its other stations, and spent its early years swinging from electronic music to an all-out rock format. It moved into the Maison de la Radio in Paris in 2011. Four years later it dropped the Le from its name and rebuilt the schedule around hip-hop and street culture. Budget cuts have since taken away its news bulletins and talk shows, and on 31 August 2026 it left FM for good, carrying on over DAB+ and the internet.
Music now runs almost without a break. French and American rap sit next to R&B, with afrobeats and dancehall turning up through the day, and new releases make up most of the rotation. DJs carry the shows that remain, Kymra and DJ Serom on the morning Wake-Up Mix and DJ First Mike on Open Mike. In 2016 the station launched Hip Hop Symphonique, putting French rappers on stage with the Radio France Philharmonic.
Public radio that knows the lyrics.
