DJ BIGJOHNSTUD was one of the original RadioHipHop.com DJs when the station first launched back in the year 2000, and the site credits his channel as the one that effectively built the place. The archive reaches back further than the station itself: episodes in the current rotation carry 1999 dates, recorded before there was any RadioHipHop.com to put them on and kept ever since, which makes this channel the closest thing the station has to a set of founding documents rather than a playlist.

What plays is classic boom bap and golden era hip hop with underground heat mixed through it — the sound of the years either side of the millennium as it was actually heard at the time, rather than a retrospective assembled long afterwards by somebody else. Fifteen episodes rotate, each running about three and a half hours, in sequence and right around the clock.
