Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Cassette-era Russian punk, meme rap and outsider songs.
Дигравиль ФМ is one person's archive played out loud. James Earl Cash runs it from Syzran, four hours ahead of Moscow, and everyone who tunes in lands at the same point in the same rotation rather than starting a private playlist — one broadcast, shared, the way radio worked before streaming split it into a million separate queues. The library runs past five hundred tracks, shuffled so that the same artist rarely comes round twice in an hour, with every filename left exactly as it was found.
The material is the Russian internet underground as it actually circulated: Siberian punk and its post-punk cousins next to deadpan gangster rap and literary provocateurs, meme rap from the streaming era, and home recordings from further out. Meme rock, absurdist shanson, strange covers and outsider recordings that no ordinary online station would file.
Everyone hears the same tape.
