Sunny funk and global beats, milked in the French Alps.
Radio Meuh has never been on FM. Philippe Thevenet started it in 2007 from La Clusaz, a ski village in Haute-Savoie, and kept it online only, run as an independent association rather than a licensed broadcaster. That turned out to be the point: it placed sixth among France's digital stations in 2016, counted two and a half million active listeners a month by the end of 2017, and took the Grand Prix Webradio in 2018. No advertising ran on it at all until 2021, when one spot appeared at the head of the stream.
The line is funk and groove, in the widest sense the shelves allow: Patchworks edits and Tullio De Piscopo next to Khruangbin, Chronixx, Cassius and Hiatus Kaiyote, with house and hip-hop taking the later hours. Every spring the station stages the Radio Meuh Circus Festival at the foot of the slopes, where Laurent Garnier is a regular and the 2026 bill runs to Quantic.
Moo is a musical direction.
