Every other R2 Extra channel is a genre; this one is a decade. R2 Millennium replays what Raadio 2 itself put on air across the 2000s and 2010s, which for a station that dropped advertising in 2005 and spent those years breaking Estonian acts makes it less a nostalgia format than a run through its own tapes. It is also the only channel in the family that keeps a clock: at the weekend the shuffle stops for R2000, and later R2 Klubi takes over with DJ mixes running into the small hours.

The window runs wide: glossy R&B and girl-group pop out of the early 2000s, house and indie-dance from the end of that decade, then big-chorus pop, indie pop and warm retro soul from the 2010s, with Estonian records from the same years holding their place alongside the imports. Two decades of one station's rotation, minus the presenters who once introduced it.
