Copyleft radio: every track cleared to pass on.
It has been on air since 1 April 2017, run by the association Media Commun out of a studio at La Grainerie in Balma, on the edge of Toulouse, and it plays nothing that is not released under a free licence. That is the whole premise, and the station works on musicians and sound artists to license their own work openly rather than simply hunting for tracks that already are. Anyone can propose a programme, provided it sits inside the values of the place, and there are podcast workshops for those who need them.
The music stream, Blagues et Musique, turns up psych-folk, blues, country, lo-fi and things harder to file, from noisy indie rock to home-recorded oddities, and every track can be taken away and reused. Between them sit documentaries made with the people in them: a primary class recording a working mill, an Algerian war veteran's testimony, a day on an occupied roundabout.
