Freeform from a Fenway DJ: indie, goth, weird stuff.
TJ Connelly spent fifteen years as DJ and music director at Fenway Park, took on the New England Patriots in 2013 and the Boston Bruins in 2017, and built a reputation for reading the mood of a game rather than reaching for the obvious stadium anthem. When the arenas went quiet in March 2020 he started a daily show from Cambridge instead and paid for it through Patreon; two hundred and thirty-five episodes later it had long outgrown one man and a microphone, and a station grew up around it.
More than twenty shows carry named hosts across the week, from Nolan G on In With the Out Sound to Em on Unknown Frequencies, and each is built as a mixtape rather than a format. Connelly's own daily show is where all of it started. The range runs indie and alternative through goth, metal, Americana, jazz and electro, with a live chat arguing about all of it.
Lockdown habit that stuck.
