Geneva's indie rock, broadcast from a spaceship.
Three friends put it on the web on 29 September 2011 to get Geneva's music, cinema and culture on air, and built it as a non-profit association that has never carried advertising. DAB+ carriage across the Lake Geneva arc followed in 2015 and a federal concession in January 2024, by which point the station had moved into a purpose-built studio on rue Louis-Favre in the Grottes district, opened in October 2022, where six paid staff and some forty volunteers make around twenty hours of original programming a week.
Indie rock is the spine, with electro and chanson française around it and a standing bias toward Swiss and Geneva artists. La Quotidienne gives two weekday evening hours to the city's culture, Vostok Sessions puts bands live in front of a studio audience every week, Rock à la Casbah digs through garage, surf and punk, and Mix en Orbite hands the late hours of every night to DJs.
Gagarin would approve.
