Radio Underground SoundRadio Underground Sound

Radio Underground Sound has run out of Colorado Springs since at least 2010 on a rule it repeats often: nothing here is automated, and every hour belongs to a selector. Most of those selectors live somewhere else, which makes the station a Colorado address with a roster spread right across four continents. Independent artists can put themselves forward for rotation — by link rather than attachment, in hip-hop, downtempo, jazz, broken beat, deep house, funk, soul or experimental.

The week is divided by person. Toshio Matsuura of United Future Organization takes Monday from Tokyo, Lewis Lastella has Tuesday from Paris, Kerem Gokmen's Dubmission runs four hours on Wednesday out of Pittsburgh, and J. Pulaski's Innamissions, on KUCI since 2001, holds Thursday. We Love… arrives from Ibiza, A Deeper Groove from Glasgow, and Mr. Goju's Migration Radio closes it.
