Post-Wende free radio from Chemnitz: bass, punk, jazz.
Radio T has been a licensed broadcaster since 1994, run as an association out of Mühlenstraße in Chemnitz on member dues, grants and donations, with programme decisions taken by vote. It takes no advertising and answers to no party, and says plainly that its job is the subjects other outlets in the region leave alone. Anyone can walk in with no prior knowledge and learn the rest on site; the rooms are largely step-free. It goes out on 102.7 on weekday evenings and for longer at weekends.
Mosh-Club hands the metal hour to a different host each week — power and prog one week, doom, sludge, black and death the next. And now… Jazz keeps to free jazz and alternative labels; Das Gasthaus zum satten Bass serves drum and bass alongside regional producers. Heimatmelodie exists because a local station without local records would be a contradiction.
The charts left in 1990.
