De naald wordt afgestoft…
Chicago and New York house, kept in the family.
Real House Radio broadcasts from London on a single premise: house music, and nothing that isn't. Its statement of intent is a list rather than a mission — Trax and DJ International, Easy Street and Supertronics, the Music Box and the Paradise Garage, Shoom and the Haçienda, Strictly Rhythm, the 909 and the 808 and the SP1200 — which is about as close as the station ever comes to explaining itself. Automated dayparts carry the deep and soulful end of it; the evenings go to people.
Those people are the founders. Jesse Saunders, who put out the first house record anyone could buy in 1984, has a show here. So does David Morales, who co-founded the Def Mix production house, and Graeme Park, nine years a Haçienda resident. Lenny Fontana learned at WBLS and the Paradise Garage; DJ Spen came up in Baltimore. Kitty Amor, Col Lawton and M. Dusa hold the resident slots.
Jack is still the only rule.
