Spolveriamo la puntina…
KCRW's all-music channel, no talk, no time slots.
Eclectic24 is the half of KCRW that never stops for the news. The parent station has been a community service of Santa Monica College since 1947 and a charter member of NPR since 1970, splitting its day between public affairs and music discovery; this channel takes the second half and runs it end to end, on every platform the station reaches. Chris Douridas programmes it — the same DJ who held Morning Becomes Eclectic through the nineties — so the ear behind it is the station's own, three decades deep.
There are no time slots and nothing breaks the flow. New releases sit against records from thirty years back, emerging artists against ones the station has followed for years, crossing genres and scenes without announcing the joins. What is left is KCRW's taste with the talking removed, running continuously on whatever logic the programmer is working to that day.
Nothing in it but the music.
