Tuscan research music: drone, noise, tape and dub.
Fango Radio has broadcast from Pistoia since 2019 as an experiment in community transmission rather than a format, built around the people and collectives across Italy who make music, words and sounds that rarely get aired anywhere else. It belongs to Aundici, the research-music network convened by Tempo Reale with Biodiversità Records, Oltrarno Recordings, NUB Project Space and Ambient-Noise Session, and it presses its own releases under Fango Radio Editions, decamping when it suits to transmit live from the events it helps put on.
Weekdays are held by residents with an hour each. Daniele Ciullini takes post-industrial on Frankenstein's Jukebox, Adern X and DROVE work the drone and dark ambient end, Spettro Records brings noise and electroacoustics, DJ King Flow digs through old-school hip-hop, and $WAMP's CARNIVAL leans on dub and bass culture. Tapas Mixtapes closes every evening with a club mix.
Five nights, no house style.
