Espeeera...
Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
Sound art, radio essays, and the noise of Marseille.
It has gone out on the second Sunday of every month since April 2019, and became an association in November 2020. The people behind it come from music, cinema, theatre and the visual arts rather than radio, and the charter they wrote frames listening as something closer to an ecological habit: going quiet enough to register what does not force itself on the ear but leaves its print on the world anyway. The signal rides on P-Node's server, the French platform for independent stations.
Between those Sundays the stream replays the archive, which is where the shape of the thing shows: Autour de l'eau, Radio placard, Êtres à poils, Variations pour un espace, You are here. Alongside them sit standing strands for electroacoustic, experimental and ethnographic music, field recordings, readings, pieces made for children, and whatever refuses to be filed.
The microphone points outward.
