Punk, goth and post-punk from São Paulo's underside.
Built in São Paulo in 2012, antenAZero has always been a listener-funded web radio that belongs to no media group: studio rent, servers and equipment come out of monthly contributions from the people who listen. House blocks carry the daylight hours, and around them sit more than forty weekly shows handed to volunteer presenters, each one keeping its own slot and its own taste, plus antenAPress, the station's own music desk covering reissues, festivals and tours under editor Milton Alves.
Rock is the spine — punk, post-punk, goth, new wave and Brazilian psychedelia — with COMBATE ROCK, LET'S GOTH!, SONGS FROM A DEAD GENERATION and PROGGNOSIS each holding a weekly hour. From there the week widens into SOU JAZZ, SOU RAP, CONEXÃO ÁFRICA and LATINIDAD, and the grid keeps room for live sessions and interviews with the independent bands nobody else in town is booking.
The bands radio forgot to book.
