Hooold...
Dusting off the needle…
Mexican alternative rock, metal nights, and rap at noon.
The 105.7 frequency has been Mexico City's youth-radio address since 1983, passing through Estéreo Joven, Láser, Conexión Acústica and Órbita before the Instituto Mexicano de la Radio relaunched it as Reactor on 12 November 2004, with a brief to back the Mexican bands no commercial station would touch. Budget cuts almost ended that in July 2019, when the station let every presenter go and ran music alone for a stretch; the hosts came back, and the schedule is built around them again.
Programming runs on specialists: Vendetta, the longest-running rap and hip-hop show on Mexican FM, runs every week with Paella; Blast Beat closes the night on metal with Fabián Durón; Arf Arf opens the pit for the evening. Between them the playlist moves through rock en español, ska, reggae, rockabilly and whatever independent band nobody else in Mexico will put on air.
State-funded, never house-trained.
