Leftfield club sounds, ten years on Bern's ether.
Roberto Grassi set Radio Bollwerk going in late 2016 with the Studio Mondial collective, and the association that runs it is made of its members rather than of staff. It has become the one Swiss online station where DJs out of Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne and Bern share a single schedule instead of four local ones, which in a country that fragments easily along its language lines is most of the point. It marked its tenth anniversary in September 2026 with a Klubnacht at Bern's Dampfzentrale.
When nobody is live the main stream works through an archive of more than 500 multi-hour recordings, and six Moods channels sort the same material by temperature: Celestial Hugs, Emotional Bathtub, Organic Treatments, Elastic Drive Way, Vortex, Sweat Pit. Techno is the spine of it, with Subcontinental Drift and Bonzzaj Radio pulling in bass and dub.
No transmitter, no compromise.
