Rytmabad RadioRytmabad Radio

Rytmabad broadcasts from the DSL System studio in Tashkent with a purpose it states plainly: to represent underground electronic and instrumental musicians from across Central Asia, and to archive and catalogue the region's scene as it happens. It started in April 2024 and has since put out well over two hundred sets by more than a hundred and fifty artists, spread across some thirty shows, working with the region's promo crews and festivals rather than trying to do it all alone.

The electronic half is specific about itself: Unstable Degree runs analog minimal techno, hypnotic and Detroit-rooted; eexpress goes industrial and oppressive; offsetting digs disco-rooted vinyl and electro; extID pressurises acid house and UK bass. Then HARD ATTACK turns up with doom and black metal, care with ambient and contemporary classical, and Jylañach Jürök talks in Kyrgyz.
