A Paris dance institution, rebuilt as an Antwerp stream.
Radio FG started in Paris in 1981 as Fréquence Gaie, a community station built around the city's gay scene and broke for most of its first four years. By the early nineties it had traded the activism for house records and become the frequency the French touch went out on, and in 2001 it gave up community status to run as a private station. Antwerp is one of the adaptations that followed the brand out of France, and it keeps no transmitter of its own — the whole thing goes out over the internet.
The Fuckin' Good Music playlist holds the day from five in the morning until seven at night, and after that it is all mixes: Starter FG opens, then Circoloco and Glitterbox, John Digweed, Adam Beyer, Joris Voorn, Nicole Moudaber, Purple Disco Machine. Marco Bailey and Phill Da Cunha keep a Belgian foot in the door, and FG Classix takes the hour before midnight.
