Die Nadel wird entstaubt…
Classic and urban ex-Yu rock, with the punk kept in.
Đuro had a TV repair shop in Banja Luka and years of electronics behind him; Tume was a young engineer who could build the software half. In 2012 they finally had the gear, most of it borrowed or donated, and called in Igor Mudrinić, a sound engineer from Big Radio, to set up the streaming server. The configuration wanted a name for the stream. He suggested Pakao — hell — on the grounds that it would be hell for the folk-pop that owned commercial radio, and the placeholder outlived every better idea.
The rotation is ex-Yu rock and punk sung in the local language — Pekinska Patka, Partibrejkers, Goblini, Ritam Nereda, Zbogom Brus Li — with demos from unsigned bands worked in, taken by email. They tried interviews early on, watched the listener count fall whenever anyone talked past two or three minutes, and stopped talking altogether. Dado Dejanović of Big Radio helped build the library.
Not one word between songs.
