Journeyscapes is Candice Michelle's station, and the work she puts into it is the kind most automated chill channels skip entirely. Artists send their tracks in, she previews everything to see whether it fits the place before anything is hand-picked for the rotation, and the weekly Mixcloud programme has run well past four hundred episodes. Each one of those gets a full tracklist published alongside it, timestamped to the minute, with a link out to the artist's own Bandcamp page.

The description she uses is chill-centred rather than any one genre, which in practice means ambient and space music alongside downtempo, ethereal electronica, new age and atmospheric world music, with the occasional vocal track. One week leans ambient dub and lounge, the next dream trance and ambient techno. Long-form pieces get radio edits so they fit, which is a courtesy most stations do not bother with.
