Above The Clouds started in 2015 as a Saturday afternoon show built by DJ KEMS and Lumin out of their own record collections. Lumin held it down for the first hundred episodes before stepping away; KEMS carried it alone until rap79 opened Found Sound Records in North Miami at the end of 2019, and the show moved into the shop for good. It goes out live from the store every Saturday between three and five Eastern, and the stream runs back through the archive the rest of the week.

Everything comes off records — no files, no drives, nothing cued from a laptop. A single episode can open on BYG free jazz and minimal synth, pass through post-punk and shoegaze, then close on boogie, dub and deep house, usually with a guest sitting in for a set of their own. Every show is posted afterwards with its full tracklist, down to the label.
