At the end of 2024 the Berlin-Brandenburg media authority re-tendered a package of FM frequencies after a procedural error over Jazzradio's allocation, and the package took in 88.4 and 90.7 — the two the free radios had been sharing. They entered the competition anyway, against a process they called purely commercial in design, and lost. The authority is selling the transmitter as well. From 2026 no free radio is receivable on FM in Berlin or Potsdam, while the commercial stations and the rbb stay put.

Pi Radio, Colaboradio, Radio Woltersdorf, Radio Słubfurt and Refugee Radio Potsdam all take their turn at the desk, so what comes out depends on whose week it is. DAB+ and the stream are what remain to them. In June the board put seven questions to the media spokespeople of every democratic party in the city, and four of them wrote back at some length.
