Aspeeetta...
Spolveriamo la puntina…
EBM and electro-industrial, pounding and unrepentant.
il Cabaret del Diavolo has run since 2005 with one stated reason to exist: to gather electronic body music and oldschool industrial of the 80s and 90s in one place instead of leaving them as the occasional track on somebody else's dark-alternative rotation. It is self-funded, paid for out of its operators' own resources rather than sold to sponsors, and it has stayed inside the European scene it came from — a Belgian EBM day written up in full, guest DJs mixing in from Brussels, Düsseldorf and Treviso, and a deep archive of band biographies.
The default is a 24/7 run through Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy, DAF and Laibach, widened by synthpop, darkwave, aggrotech and new beat, with new releases from Blutengel, Endzustand and Dark Line Spectrum worked in. One night a week at 23:00 CET a guest DJ takes over live — vinyl sessions of old-school EBM, an electro-dark night, a set of 80s synthpop and new romantics.
Boots, belts, and drum machines.
