Espeeera...
Quitando el polvo a la aguja…
From Chicago house to heavy techno, with breaks between.
E-Kwality Radio went on air in 2021, run by the E-Kwality Music association, with a brief that reads more like a manifesto: cover the widest possible spectrum of what gets called underground electronic music, and give the artists and labels sustaining it somewhere to be heard. Its own framing treats the last thirty-five years of the stuff as one continuous revolution rather than a sequence of passing scenes, which is why the schedule refuses to settle into a single lane. Submissions are picked by hand.
The schedule now runs on monthly resident shows. Antony Dupont's Timeless Music and Tioneb's Frequencies hold down the techno end, Fortnum's Sweetback's Badass Songs and Yann Lean's Nuance Club lean toward house, Street Machine and Katell carry drum and bass and jungle, and Sonic Crew dig through dub techno on Digging the Past. Guest sets from Mamz'hell, Kaine and Claude Sonik land in between.
