Rukh is the Ukrainian for movement, and the station has been exploring the local underground since 2023 — which is to say it started, and has kept going, from Odesa in wartime. It runs non-commercially and DIY, and its subject is not only experimental and alternative music but the subcultures and countercultures those scenes grow out of. Nothing on it is for sale. The whole operation lives on Telegram, SoundCloud and whoever turns up with a mix, which is roughly how the scene it documents works too.

Its own archive index is the best guide to the range — coldwave, minimal wave and EBM next to dungeon synth, dark folk, twee pop, krautrock, italo disco and field recordings. Between shows the rotation is almost entirely Ukrainian and mostly names you will not have heard: !звук, yurii samson, stonefromthesky, Anton Humenyuk. A standing show digs through eighties and nineties post-punk and no wave.
