Koubebi is the Cypriot word for a stuffed vine leaf, which is roughly the argument the station makes about itself: everything that arrived on the island is now part of the recipe. Haji Mike started it in 2023 — a dub poet and broadcaster with well over three decades on air, a PhD, and a habit of running shows on three stations at once — as the continuation of MYCYradio, the island's first community broadcaster, and it kept that brief of making room for every community living in Cyprus.

Roots reggae, dub and steppers sit at the centre, with rare vinyl, world grooves and interviews around them, and the lines run out to Jamaica, the UK and Africa. Haji Mike's weekly A World of Reggae goes out on two other reggae stations at once, the Koubebi DJs share The Mix, and DJ Short Change, Tony Alexander and the UK's Greeklish fill other evenings. A weekly guest hour takes sets from anyone.
